Description
This original, vintage chair is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. The wooden rosewood frame has been cleaned and a natural beeswax polish applied to revive its shine but otherwise the finish is original. The leather upholstery is original. There are four cushions in total, all of which are in good order, although it should be noted that the zip of the seat cushion has broken at some point and the seam sewn shut – please refer to our photo. Obviously as it’s on the underside it doesn’t show and there is the option to replace the missing zip with a professional upholsterer. The other cushions have working zips and all inners are plump and in good order, as is the backing cloth. The fixed leather upholstery on the frame is also in good order, hugging the contours of the frame tightly. There are wrinkles, marks and scuffs here and there across the fixed leather and cushions which can be seen across our various photos. This is primarily on the chair’s corners / edges. This doesn’t jar with us as it’s very much part of its vintage, lived-in appeal in our view but do browse our photos. The finishing fabric underneath the seat cushion is in good condition too. The lower wooden frame carries some very light knocks and surface scuffs. It was imported directly from Denmark and it dates from the early 1970s. Although there is no maker’s label, it is a well-documented design. Do browse our numerous photos for an accurate sense of its colour and order. Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with trusted delivery partners who cover most of the country (enquire for Scotland or remote addresses) and are reliable and insured. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-5 days later. The delivery service we can offer does require a little flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but you would be kept updated.
