Vintage British 1960s Oak Chest of Drawers
A neat, 1960s, British-made chest of drawers in light oak that’s well-made and functional with a rather elegant, feminine design, from the slim, pointed metal handles to the slightly splayed, long legs. Sadly no maker’s mark but the name of the shop where it was originally purchased from on the back.
Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. We have cleaned the piece and applied a natural beeswax polish to the exterior wood. All four drawers slide with ease and have clean, tidy interiors. They are well constructed with dovetail joints. The external wood is in very good order with just minor signs of wear and tear – light scuffs and knocks – but in line with its considerable age and function. It’s well made, solid and stable, with no signs of repair or areas of concern.
