Vintage 1950s Danish Krenit Bowl with Yellow Enamel Interior

Instantly recognisable, the iconic Krenit bowl is a staple amongst Danish MCM fans. Every midcentury lover should have one! Designed by Herbert Krenchel for Torben Ørskov, they date from the 1950s and are unusual in that they are made of cold-pressed steel, rather than pottery. They have a distinctive matt black exterior and a colourful enamelled interior, in this case a vivid mustard yellow. They are kiln fired for a durable, unique finish. It comes lightly scuffed primarily on the outside and this wear is reflected in our price – it’s great value at £60 including delivery. If you would love to start your collection of Krenit bowls (because you can’t just have one, they look so great clustered together), here is a fantastic starting point.

This wear and tear is reflected in our price. Please browse our photos for an accurate sense of colour and condition.
