Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have checked, cleaned and polished this piece, applying a natural beeswax polish to the exterior wood surfaces but otherwise the finish is original and as such it does comes with signs of wear and aging, as shown in our photos and described here. There are three drawers which slide with ease, are expertly made with dovetail joints and have clean interiors with light signs of use, as shown. All the wooden handles are original and are securely attached. The middle handle has been repaired at some point. Although a little clumsily done, it’s solid and there is no movement or concern here. The exterior surfaces do carry knocks, marks and scuffs as you would expect with a piece of this significant age. Do refer to our photos for a accurate sense of its order. Overall, we feel the wear is part of its unique character and history. It’s purely superficial and doesn’t affect the function of the piece. It’s very well-crafted, solid and stable. Sadly we do not have keys for the locks. Note: this is a heavy item that cannot be dismantled so do check dimensions and access!
