Pair of Vintage Ercol Windsor 370A Carver Chairs

A rare opportunity to acquire a matching pair of Ercol 370A carver dining chairs in superb, original condition. One of the most popular and enduring chair designs in the Ercol Windsor range, the 370 and 370A were made between 1957 and 1982. These chairs are fine-looking pieces made from solid elm and beech ‘blond’ woods with six back spindles and generous seat height and width, providing much comfort for long, slow dinner parties. Equally though, these chairs can be put to good use in any room, not just around the dinner table. From bedroom to study to hallway to fireside, their welcoming arms are a delight. Classic vintage Ercol at its best.

This original, vintage pair of chairs is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, both chairs are in very good – excellent, used condition. We have given the chairs a clean and light polish with a natural beeswax but otherwise we have left their original finish alone, such is its outstanding order. There are very minor, superficial scuffs here and there on the frames, as you might expect with furniture of this age, but absolutely nothing to flag or that is noticeable. They are superbly crafted, stable and sturdy with no repairs. The blue labels are no longer affixed to the back of the chairs but they are stamped underneath.  The poppers are in place underneath the seats should you wish to attach Ercol cushions.
