Pair of Vintage 1950s Danish Krenit Bowls with Teal Enamel Interiors

Instantly recognisable, the iconic Krenit bowl is a staple amongst Danish MCM fans. Every midcentury lover should have one! Designed by Herbert Krenchel for Torben Ørskov, they date from the 1950s and are unusual in that they are made of cold-pressed steel, rather than pottery, kiln fired for a unique finish. They have a distinctive matt black exterior and a colourful enamelled interior, in this case a a pale turquoise / teal. Matching in colour, the smaller bowl has a glossy finish interior, the slightly larger one is matt. They come a little bruised and scuffed primarily on the edges with some small chips and this wear is reflected in our price.
