Original Vintage Homeworthy 1960s Record Cabinet with Dansette Legs

This sweet, little record cabinet has undergone quite the revival. It arrived looking very sorry and Karl’s completed a careful restoration to bring it back to its former glory. It’s now near-flawless with the most stunning grain across its exterior surfaces. Open the doors to find a sectioned interior set up for vinyl storage and with a useful, small drawer for your spare stylus. The proportions of this cabinet have been designed for the turntable to sit on top. We love the long ‘atomic’ legs and the gold and black trim around the cabinet’s edges. A super retro piece by British maker, Homeworthy.

Description

This is an original, vintage record cabinet that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good – excellent, used condition. We have thoroughly cleaned it inside and out, and the exterior wood surfaces have been fully restored. This process involved stripping and sanding off the original, worn finish, followed by layers of hard wax Osmo oil and finished with Gilboy’s all natural polish for a durable finish. As you can see in our photos, the stunning grain has been brought back to life with this careful, non-invasive restoration. The two cupboard doors move with ease on their hinges and have closures in good working order. The interior features sections for LPs and a small drawer. It’s clean and tidy throughout. The main unit sits on ebonised, splayed Dansette legs and the original black and gold trim on the outer edges is in great order and securely attached. There are very minor marks and scuffs here and there – please view our photos for a good sense of the overall fantastic condition. It’s well-made with no signs of repair or areas of concern.
