Original Danish Oak Armchair in Orange Tweed Wool by FDB Mobler
A vivid pop of orange brings this simply designed, occasional chair to alive. And the orange wool upholstery looks fantastic with the light, solid oak wooden frame. Wide and supportive with a curved, contoured back and shaped arms, it will serve you well in any room, including as a relaxed desk chair. Sadly there is no maker’s mark but it was attributed at source to FDB Mobler, dating from the 1980s. A super chair for a spot that needs livening up.
Description
This sale is for an original, used chair that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. The chair has been thoroughly vacuumed and the wooden frame has been cleaned and natural beeswax polish applied. The original orange wool tweed upholstery is in good order with no stains or marks, and for the most part it looks to be in fantastic condition. However, there are two minor holes / flaws to flag. These are shown in our photos. They are so small, it would be difficult to make repairs without drawing attention to them – a shame as they are barely noticeable as they are. They are also not in places where they are likely to deteriorate a great deal further with a little care. This has been reflected in our pricing. It’s a fantastically made chair that’s solid and stable with no repairs or areas of concern. It’s constructed in solid oak. The legs, arms and frame do carry some light marks and scuffs through use but these are minor. Sadly there is no maker’s mark but it’s a chair imported directly from Denmark and was attributed at source.
