Original Danish 1970s Double Cream Spotlight Floor Lamp – Fully Restored
An original Danish light, with two neat, independent spotlights that can be height-adjusted, angled and rotated. A little different to the usual elongated trumpet spotlights we restore, we love the compact, smaller design of these midcentury ones. We love too the high gloss creamy, oatmeal enamel, a good neutral shade that will blend with any colour scheme going. The stem’s a touch shorter than the norm as well, at 130cm so this floor lamp could sit by the bedside.

This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamp has been rewired with new, black fabric-braided flex, energy efficient bulbs, independent switches there for each lamp and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. The spotlights can be angled by rotating them on their original arms. They can also be height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening these arms. As you can see from our photos, the spotlights carry minor scratches, tarnishes and small dents to the finish, and the weighted base has a chip to the enamel finish. We also don’t feel this impacts the appeal of the piece too greatly. The wear and tear is in line with its age and what we would expect.
