Original 1970s Danish Red Double Spotlight Floor Lamp – Fully Restored

A cheery, post-box red, double spotlight floor lamp, fully restored and rewired, ready to light up your life. Although it dates from the seventies, this wouldn’t be out of place in an eighties-inspired interior. The shiny colour is a joy and looks striking against the black stem, arms and base. The trumpeting spotlights that can be height-adjusted, rotated and angled on their arms to direct the light where needed. These are versatile floor lamps as they’re less space-hungry than a standard lamp and the two spotlights give double the illumination. There are minor knocks here and there in line with its age but this is a fine, midcentury piece of Danish lighting.

Description

This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamp has been rewired with new, black fabric-braided flex, energy efficient bulbs, independent switches for each lamp on the floor switch and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. The spotlights can be angled by rotating them on their original arm. They can also be height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening these arms. As you can see from our photos, the spotlights carry minor scratches, tarnishes and small dents to the finish, including the weighted base. We also don’t feel this impacts the appeal of the piece too greatly. The wear and tear is in line with its age and what we would expect. Please browse our photos for a good sense of its order.
