Something special from MCM design power couple, John and Sylvia Reid for Stag furniture – a matching pair of bedroom drawer chests, one large and one midi. This particular range is something of a rarity, we believe a short production run in the mid-1950s. Both the chest of drawers and larger dressing table are expertly designed and superbly crafted in dark walnut with a contrasting blond wood on the base and legs, creating a striking two-tone effect overall. They come in their original finish so there are signs of age across the external surfaces – superficial knocks and scuffs here and there but nothing that greatly distracts from their aesthetic appeal and nothing that affects their usefulness. This is reflected in our price. They give a great deal of bedroom storage across their nine drawers drawers. If you didn’t wish to use the mirror it can be easily removed. If you’re looking for a coordinated midcentury look in your bedroom, this is your starting point.
