Vintage Turnidge of London Glass-fronted Mirror-backed Teak Display Cabinet

Shallow in depth but generous in height and width, this fine, vintage display cabinet is perfect for displaying your trinkets and treasures. With a mirrored back and adjustable glass shelves, it will showcase pieces beautifully from all sides. Made by Turnidge of London it dates from the 1960s and the overall design is unfussy and clean, because the main attraction will be what is put inside. It’s very well-made as you would expect from a reputable British furniture maker like Turnidge.

Description

This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have cleaned the piece thoroughly, and used a natural beeswax polish on the exterior wood. The two sliding glass front doors are in excellent order, sliding with ease in their runners. The two interior shelves are glass too and in great condition. They are height adjustable and the original pegs are in place. There are some light marks and scuffs here and there to the external wood but these are minimal with nothing specific to flag. The cabinet is sturdy and solid with no signs of repair. The Turnidge maker’s label is in place on the lower shelf.
