Restored Danish Midcentury Gold Double Bubble Spotlight Floor Lamp

The appeal of these bubble lamps endures… they’re wonderfully quirky pieces. Although obviously retro, their vintage charm works so well in a modern setting. They are subtly eccentric without showing off. This floor light has been carefully restored and whilst it may carry a few superficial knocks, these don’t detract from its appeal and function in anyway. The brushed gold spotlights can be height adjusted and angled to illuminate just the right area, whether that’s a reading corner with it positioned behind a favourite chair, or a picture on the wall.

Description

This original, vintage floor lamp is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition and has been fully restored with care and expertise. The lamp has been rewired with new, copper-coloured, fabric-braided flex, energy efficient bulbs, new, independent switches and plug, and it has PAT tested to meet modern regulations. The spotlights can be angled with the screw arm joints, and they can be height-adjusted on the main stem by unscrewing / tightening these arms. As you can see from our photos, the metalwork carries minor tarnishes, small dents and scratches, as does the weighted base, as you might expect with a vintage piece but these are minor and don’t in any way detract from the appeal of the piece. Indeed, they are part of its history and charm. It comes from Denmark, dates from the 1970s and is most likely by ES Horn.
