Description
This original, vintage dressing table stand is ‘sold as seen’. Overall it is in good – very good, used condition. We have serviced, cleaned and polished this piece, applying a natural wax polish to the exterior wood surfaces to revive its shine but otherwise the finish is original. There are four drawers in total and they all slide with ease, are well constructed with dovetail joints and the left bank of three have clean, just lightly marked interiors. The larger right hand drawer is felt lined and this has deteriorated with age and use somewhat, as we’ve shown but it could be easily replaced if it bothered. The frameless mirror slots onto two uprights screwed in at the back. There is a further mechanism at the back of the mirror to allow it to be angled forward at the base. The two lower corners have minor glass chips which we’ve shown. However it’s worth noting that the design with glass shelf sitting on top of the recessed section means these small areas of damage don’t really show. The piece sits on long, tapered legs which are in very good order. There are minor signs of wear and tear and some sunlight fading to the exterior wood surfaces, very much in line with its age and function.
