Pair of Vintage Uniflex Walnut & Birch Bedside Cabinets

Not many are familiar with furniture maker, Uniflex, but back in the late fifities, early sixties, they were pioneering British modernist design. Simplicity was their signature, with characteristic clean lines and pared back style. They used different woods in innovative ways, mixing up light with dark, and making the most of the grain as a distinguishing feature.  They perhaps didn’t get the attention they deserved then but their furniture has stood the test of time and is sought after these days as it was thoughtfully constructed, in line with the form and function aesthetic. This pair of bedside stands are impeccably made with the user in mind but never at the expense of elegant design. The simple birch drawer and handle are just the accents the walnut needs to make something very beautiful.
