Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in overall good – very good, used condition. It has been checked and cleaned inside and out, and a natural beeswax polish applied to the exterior wood but otherwise the finish is original. It’s an expertly crafted piece featuring dovetail joints and the signature Fresco elongated drawer handles. All four main drawers are in good, tidy order internally, with just minimal marks inside from use, and they slide with ease. The handle of the top drawer on the right hand side is a little more worn and faded as clearly this was the drawer used the most. There is an additional hidden vanity drawer in the centre that is purple velvet-lined. As you can see from our photo, there are some minor scuffs and marks to the lining. The exterior wood is in good – very good order with just light scuffs and blemishes in line with its age and purpose. These are primarily on the table top at the front, as you might expect but in the overall context of the piece this isn’t particularly noticeable. Please browse our photos. The large mirror hangs two uprights which screw in at the back and can be angled by pulling gently at the bottom. We have made a small repair to an area at the back where the mirror upright screws in that had weakened the veneer – we’ve shown this in a photo. The mirror can be easily removed if you would like to use this piece as a desk. The original G Plan sticker is still affixed in the drawer. The chair and props shown are not included.
