Original Danish Grey Pinstripe Two Seater Sofa

Whilst this particular sofa might not be vintage, it’s a fantastic second-hand find in outstanding condition, matching comfort and a quality build with smart, good looks. It’s a Danish original and most like dates from the past 15 – 20 years, given the very light wear and tear. The steely grey upholstery is pinstriped with pale peach colour, a colour palette subtle enough to partner well with other schemes, be that bolder or more neutral. Although modern, it’s very obviously midcentury-inspired with clean-lines and a classic Scandinavian profile. We like the slight out-turn of the arms and the long beech legs that create space and lightness around the sofa.

Description

This original, vintage sofa is ‘sold as seen’. It’s in excellent, used condition. We have thoroughly vacuumed the upholstery and cushions and checked the frame but otherwise left well alone as it’s in fantastic order. The six cushions are in great condition with plump inners and working zips. The striped fabric  are repeated on the backs so the cushions can be turned, a good practical consideration. The fixed upholstery on the main frame is also in excellent order with no areas of concern. Overall the wear and tear is very light / minimal. The finishing cloth used to cover the underside of the frame has been removed. This is often the case as it’s torn away so the frame structure can be checked. Obviously this doesn’t show as it’s the bottom of the sofa. The frame itself is solid and stable with no wobbles or joint concerns. It’s very well-made. Sadly there is no maker’s mark but has been imported directly from Denmark. Please browse our photos for an accurate sense of the immaculate condition of this fine sofa.
