Original 1960s Danish Gold Pendant Lampshade with Textured Glass Insets

Unmistakably midcentury, this metal Danish pendant light shade has bags of vintage charm. Finished in a brushed gold, its wide rim is bejewelled with large, textured, glass rounds. We love too the teak inset in the neck, a thoughtful design detail. Switched on, the light radiates from below as well as through the glass. With its extra bling, this lampshade would look super hung low over a large dining table. A fine piece with history and character, restored for today’s interiors.

Description

This original, vintage piece is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have carefully cleaned and fully restored it with new, compliant fittings and with a generous  length of fabric-coated, braided flex, ready for it to be wired into place on a ceiling. There are some very light marks here and there, but they are barely noticeable, certainly wouldn’t be when elevated and in situ. This wear and tear is what we might expect with a piece of this age and nature. Although no marker’s label, this is a Danish original imported directly.
