Midcentury Remploy Teak Hostess Drinks Trolley

Dating from the 1970s and made by British company, Remploy, this is a teak hostess trolley designed for moving drinks and nibbles from room to room and to your guests with ease. An archetypal retro piece that can be put to good use in lots of different ways in the modern home if you don’t wish to use it as originally intended. Load it with plants, use it as mobile book shelves, as a drinks bar, as a space divider, as bathroom / bath-side storage. They can double up as neat side tables by a favourite chair as shown too.

Description

This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, it is in very good, used condition. We have checked and cleaned the piece, applying a natural beeswax polish to the wood. The two trays are in very good order with just very light signs of use. The original castors are in good order and roll with ease. There are some light scuffs and marks to the wood here and there in line with its age and function but it’s in remarkably good order.
