Midcentury 1960s Glass Front Teak Cabinet

Vintage pieces like this are always useful in the modern home and their neutral, unfussy design means they can work in any room, slotting into place along side pieces from other periods. This neat cabinet provides lots of storage with a glass doored bookcase, two drawers and a side cupboard. Well-made and British in origin, we’ve not been able to identify the exact maker although its handles are similar to Jentique’s.

Description

This original, vintage piece is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have thoroughly cleaned the piece inside and out, applying a natural wax polish to the exterior surfaces. The two drawers slide with ease, are constructed with dovetail joints and have clean and tidy interiors. The cupboard is also in excellent order inside and out. The two glass doors slide with ease and the bookcase features a fixed shelf. There are minor scuffs, chips and marks to the external wood. These are light and to be expected with a piece of this nature and age but they are not particularly noticeable – refer to our photos to get an accurate sense of its vintage condition. It’s a very well-made piece and it dates from the late 1960s. It’s stable and solid with no signs of repair. Sadly there is n maker’s stamp but it’s British in origin, possibly Jentique as the handles are very similar to other models. Please browse our photos for an accurate sense of its condition.
