Danish Midcentury Silver Pendant Lampshade by Frandsen – Fully Restored

The classic, statement, midcentury pendant lampshade… large, sculptural and dramatic. This Model 1033-P shade is a Danish original by Frandsen from the 1970s, restored and rewired, ready to hang into position. With a brushed silver, aluminium exterior finish and matt white interior, the concentric tiers of shades give a soft, layered glow when turned on. There are some age-related knocks and tarnishes on the outer shade but it’s worth remembering that when hung, these will not be noticeable.

Description

This original, vintage pendant lampshade is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have carefully cleaned and fully restored it with new, compliant fittings and an energy efficient bulb, and with a generous length of white fabric-coated, braided flex, ready for it to be wired into place. There are surface scratches, small dents and tarnishes here and there which we have shown across our numerous photos so please do browse. It’s worth noting that when hung from the ceiling these wouldn’t be greatly noticeable. This wear and tear is what we might expect with a piece of this age and material. The Frandsen maker’s label is in place but is very faded and sadly almost ineligible. This lampshade is imported directly from Denmark and dates from the 1970s.
