Description
This is an original, vintage chair that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have given the chair a thorough vacuum and check but have otherwise left the upholstery alone. As is the way with vintage velvet, there are some flat spots and indentations to the pile across the chair’s surfaces, most notably on the seat itself. We’ve shown this in our photos and as you will note this is more visible from some angles than others, simply as the light catches the velvet. To this end, we don’t feel it detracts greatly from the appeal of the piece. There is also some light fabric wear to the arm tops and top back edge, commonly the points that bear the brunt of wear and tear – please refer to our photos. The braid piping is securely fixed in place throughout. The decorative fringe is in good order with no strands frayed or missing. Overall, the chair is very well-made, solid and sturdy with no wobbles or areas of concern. It was imported directly from Denmark and the style and build lead us to believe it most likely dates from the 1960s / 1970s.
