Description
This antique, used piece is ‘sold as seen’. It is in fair – good, rustic condition. It has been cleaned inside and out, and a natural beeswax polish applied to the external wood but otherwise the original finish has been left alone. All five drawers slide with ease, feature dovetail joints and have the original brass plate handles securely in place. The drawers are clean inside but the top two drawers a little more marked than the others which we have shown. As you can see from our numerous photos, the wood is marked, chipped and scarred across all its surfaces. We feel this only adds to the appeal of such an aged piece but we know this isn’t for everyone – please do browse our photos. The knocks and bruises are superficial and just skin-deep. It’s well made, solid and stable. There is no maker’s mark but its origins are British. Sadly, we do not have a key for the brass locks. t.
