If you have the space, this is a grand, impressive vintage desk in blonde wood, combining midcentury good looks with modern day practicality. There’s an expansive desktop for working and banks of deep drawers on either side along with further pull-out extensions too if you need to increase your work area. Better still, there is a working lock and key for the drawers on the right. It’s had a partial restoration in that we’ve refurbished the desktop which was in a sorry state. We haven’t been able to establish the maker or pinpoint the age. Our experience tells us it’s most likely late seventies – early eighties. Regardless, it’s a super statement piece for the home office.

Full Condition Report
This is an original, vintage desk that is ‘sold as seen’. We have thoroughly serviced and cleaned this piece, and have refinished the desk top which was very marked and uneven. This involved stripping off the original finish, followed by varnish for a hard-wearing finish fit for purpose. All other surfaces have the original finish and therefore there are knocks, blemishes and scuffs here and there across the desk sides, fronts and legs which can be seen in our photos. The four drawers are very well-made with clean interiors and secure handles. They slide with ease and the right hand bank have a working lock and key. There are two sizeable, pull-out platforms on either side above the drawers in good, clean order too. The desk is stable and solid, a very well-made item with no areas of concern. There is no maker’s mark but we believe it may date from the 1970s-1980s.
