Designed by VB Wilkins for G Plan, as part of his late 1960s / early 1970s Fresco range, this freestanding, multi-functional unit serves as storage and display space in one handsome piece. Tall but shallow in depth and tidy in width, it would work well in a small room where going up is better than going wide. This particular set up features an upper glazed bookcase, an open shelf and a lower cupboard with the signature Fresco handles. It’s a two-part piece with the upper section sitting on the deeper base. These versatile units offer more flexibility than built-in shelves and are great in alcoves or those recesses next to a chimney breast.
