Description
This original, vintage table is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have checked and cleaned the table, and the table top has been fully restored, a process that involved chemically stripping away the original finish (gentler than sanding ensuring the vintage character of the piece isn’t removed entirely), followed by layers of oil and then wax polish for a durable, consistent finish. The table underside and legs have been cleaned and buffed with a natural beeswax polish but otherwise the finish is original here. It carries some very light scuffs and marks here and there, as you would expect with a vintage piece of this age – do browse our photos for an accurate representation of tone and condition. It is solid and sturdy with no wobbles or signs of repair. The drop leaves extend by lifting and pulling out the arms underneath. All mechanisms and hinges are in very good, working order. Sadly the blue Ercol sticker is no longer in place but it’s undoubtedly Ercol and the table dates from sixties, most likely the latter part. Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with trusted delivery partners who cover most of the country (enquire for Scotland or remote addresses) and are reliable and insured. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-5 days later. The delivery service we can offer does require a little flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but you would be kept updated. You are also welcome to collect from us either in Haverhill, Suffolk or near Diss, Suffolk and we’re happy to hold pieces after purchase while you consider your options and make collection arrangements.
