Description
This original, vintage piece is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have checked and cleaned the piece inside, and the exterior surfaces have been fully restored, a process that involved chemically stripping away the original finish (gentler than sanding ensuring the vintage character of the piece isn’t removed entirely), followed by layers of oil and then wax polish for a durable, consistent finish. The three cupboard doors open and close with ease with all hinges and closures in good, working order. The two end cupboards have a removable shelf inside and the interiors are clean and tidy with just light signs of use. The central cabinet features a white Formica-lined fall door for mixing drinks. One of the original hinge arms here was broken. Sadly we’ve been unable to source an exact matching replacement but we have replaced it with another midcentury hinge arm. They are slightly different, as shown. Inside is a further drawer and removable cutlery tray. All sections are in good – very good, clean order. There are very minor knocks and blemishes here and there on the exterior wood in line with its age. Overall it’s very well constructed, solid and stable. The maker’s plate is inside the door.
