Description
This set of four original, vintage chairs is ‘sold as seen’ and is comprised of three regular dining chairs and one carver. They are in very good, used condition. The frames have been checked, cleaned and a neutral beeswax polish applied to their wood but otherwise the finish is original. The finish across the chair frames does carry very minor, superficial scuffs and marks here and there but nothing to call out. This wear and tear is light and in line with their considerable age. Do browse our photos for an accurate sense of this. The seat pads have been professionally reupholstered in recent years. The patterned fabric is of a premium quality and although there is a little sunlight fading, it is in great order overall with no marks or areas of concern. If you wished to recover the pads this would be an easy, inexpensive job either for a professional or hobbyist. The pads are simply screwed into place under the seat. Note that one of the wingnuts underneath is missing as shown but as there are three more, there is no movement and the seat pad remains securely in place. The chairs are solid and sturdy with no wobbles. Sadly the maker’s label is no longer in longer place but it’s a well-documented design so we attribute it with confidence to A Younger..
