Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in very good, used condition. We have checked, cleaned and polished this piece, applying a natural beeswax polish to the exterior wood surfaces but otherwise the finish is original. It’s a two part, freestanding piece where the upper section simply sits on the base, however as this particular set up has a fall door, the upper unit should be secured to the base section. Plates are supplied for this purpose. The upper section features a single door top cupboard, a fall door drinks cabinet with a recessed glass shelf and glass base inside. There is an integral light here too that has been rewired and PAT tested. Closures, hinges and interiors are all in very good order. There is a working lock and key for the drinks cabinet. There is a faint, superficial scratch on the front of the fall door. It’s not particularly noticeable, especially in the overall context of the piece – we’ve shown it in our photos. The base unit features a chest of four drawers. The drawers are beautifully made both inside and out, and they slide with ease. There are light marks from use in the base of a couple of the drawers but nothing unsavoury. There are only very light scuffs and signs of wear on the exterior surfaces of the piece inline with its age and function. Do browse our photos for an accurate sense of its super condition. The Omann Jun ‘Classic’ label is in place on the back of the unit and it dates from the 1970s.
