Coming with a great deal of history, these ammunition cases are ripe for repurposing, either inside the home or outside. Researching this type of ammo box, we believe they are WWII era and would have held cartridges. They are marked and branded on the sides which we’ve been unable to decipher but there will undoubtedly be clues here. These are statement objects, heavy-duty and industrial. They would make fantastic stands for plants or sculpture and as they are being sold as a pair they would make quite the statement either side of a door or fireplace perhaps. They can be turned upside down and used as planters too, and of course their material means they would weather well outdoors in the garden.
