A break from our usual, clean-lined Scandi sofas, this is a slouchy couch, laidback and cool. Swedish in origin and dating from the early 1980s, it’s deeply buttoned across its six plump cushions and wide arms which gives it a softness, a roundness. It’s a particularly inviting couch, one that you want to flop down onto and stretch out. Its black leather upholstery has a high sheen and comes wrinkled with use but that’s the joy of vintage leather – it becomes more characterful and relaxed the older it gets. For all that its cushions are generous, the overall proportions of the sofa are low and compact so it would suit a smaller lounge and could sit below a window.
