Designed by E Gomme for G Plan, as part of the Siesta range, you can see he was influenced by his Scandinavian contemporaries… clean lines, midcentury simplicity, form and function. Freestanding, multi-functional units, such as this smart, 1970s one, are really versatile as they negate the need for built-in shelves and provide plentiful storage and display space. Tall but shallow, this model features an open, upper bookcase where three of the four shelves are adjustable, and a lower, double door cupboard with a further shelf inside. It’s a two part, freestanding piece with the upper section simply sitting on the base. We love the original pale green back panel!
