This little, vintage sofa is a poppet. Made for two, its high sides and back make it perfect for an alcove, a bay window, a snug or a dull corner that could do with an interesting functional feature. Upholstered in a sky blue velvet, it’s in sound vintage condition with just light signs of use. A Danish original, this style of seat is referred to as a ‘London sofa’ there but no one really knows why! A more traditional, old-fashioned design than we would normally expect from midcentury Denmark but it’s a charmer and these more decorative pieces, with their neat proportions and quirky details, like those tassels around the bottom edge, are great standalone pieces.
