The appeal of these bubble lamps reigns on. They’re wonderfully quirky, sculptural pieces. Although obviously retro, their vintage charm works so well in a modern setting. They are subtly eccentric without showing off. This floor light has been carefully restored and whilst it may carry a few knocks and tarnishes here and there, these don’t detract from its appeal and function in anyway. The metallic, brushed gold finish makes a space-age statement. The spotlights can be height adjusted and angled to illuminate just the right area, whether that’s a reading corner with it positioned behind a favourite chair, or to shed light on a picture. It hails from Denmark, dates from the 1970s and is most probably by ES Horn but sadly there is no label in place anymore.
