This fine, midcentury dressing table / vanity stand has had us confused. The design is so distinctive and the build of a superior quality, it must have been made by a high-end, reputable maker. But we can’t find another. Our educated hunch is it’s a rarely seen Uniflex piece, perhaps a short production run. The metal pull handles, the detail of the lower trim and the two tones of wood lead us to Uniflex. Indeed, looking back at a tallboy we previously stocked, there are definite similarities. Part chest of drawers, part dressing table, it was made for the bedroom / dressing room and creates a dedicated vanity spot for getting ready. We love the generous angled mirror and the recessed area, partially covered with a glass shelf for perfumes and potions. Although asymmetrical, it’s perfectly balanced. A cracking find!
