A refined, rectangular midcentury dining table from AH McIntosh of Kirkcaldy, made in the 1960s and mixing Scandinavian design influence with more traditional British style. McIntosh furniture is synonymous with superior craftsmanship and top quality wood, and you can see that here across its restored top and on the tapered legs that pour down to the floor. We love the elegant curved sides of the table top, the fine detail of the edge and also its slender profile, a nice change from chunkier dining table models of the same period. The extension section cleverly stows underneath when not in use but when the extra space is required, the two sides pull apart and it slots in for a seamless, large table that can comfortable accommodate eight diners.
