Designed by Richard Bennett for G Plan, as part of the Form Five range, you can see he was influenced by his Scandinavian contemporaries… clean lined, midcentury simplicity for a minimalist look. Multi-functional units, such as this smart, early 1970’s one, are really versatile as they negate the need for built-in shelves and provide plentiful storage and display space in one. Tall but shallow, this model features a top cupboard, open shelves, one of which is adjustable, and a large, lower, double door cupboard with a further shelf inside. It’s a two part, freestanding piece with the upper section simply sitting on the base.
