Ercol’s model 608 kitchen chairs are the big brother of the smaller, more compact 391 dining chairs. A variant of this more commonly seen design, you can see the similarities but the 608 chairs feature a much taller, elegant back and four spindles that reach down below the seat line, joining the back stretcher. Their seats are wider too so if you’re looking for comfortable dining chairs for long, lazy socialising, these are a better option than the 391s in our view. This particular set is in great shape, protected by well-applied varnish at some point years back (truly – we’ve seen some terribly applied varnish in our time!).
