Rare Vintage 1960s Rosewood & Teak Sideboard by Wrighton

What an outstanding sideboard is. By British fine furniture maker, Wrighton, and dating from the 1960s, it’s a scarcely seen model made in richly grained teak with rosewood cabinet fronts. Its proportions are grand at over 1.8m in width so it packs in a great deal of practical storage across its cupboards and drawers as well as a beautifully restored top surface for styling and display. Originally this would have been the pride of the dining room or lounge and this is reflected in the design. There is a lined cutlery drawer and a fantastic drinks cabinet in the middle, mirror lined and with shelves for glasses and cocktail accessories. Despite its size, the long, tapered legs and curved lower edge create space and room around the piece. It’s an expertly balanced piece of design in fantastic restored condition.
