What a rare and special find this is. In all our years of selling vintage furniture, this is our first Everest piece. Everest of Long Eaton made high quality furniture during the midcentury and in fact an incarnation of Everest Furniture is still making quality, British pieces today. We’ve not found another documented model of this sideboard available either now or historically. It’s a wonderfully crafted piece in warm, richly toned teak with a minimalist, clean design. It has all functionality of regular midcentury sideboard – plentiful storage, a drinks cabinet, cutlery drawer, etc – but in a more compact form. At a touch over 1.5m in width, it’s tidy and neat but nothing is compromised in looks and practicality.
