Vintage Teak Display Cabinet by Herbert Gibbs
This is a fine, functional, vintage cabinet, by quality British maker, Herbert Gibbs, part on-show display storage, part cupboard. Really well-made and with an unfussy design, this will sit quietly against a wall, not taking up too much space – at only 28cm in depth, it won’t protrude into the room. Masses of space for books and precious things, and a handy side cupboard for pieces to be hidden away. It’s in great order and ready to be put to good use.
Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, it is in good – very good, used condition. The piece has been thoroughly cleaned and a natural beeswax polish applied to the external wood surfaces. There are two height adjustable shelves, one in glass-front bookcase and one in the side cupboard. Both doors are in very good order, sliding with ease in their runners. The interior is in good, clean, tidy order too. There are light signs of wear and tear to the exterior wood, primarily on the top surface, to be expected with a vintage item. It’s very well made with no signs of repair or areas of concern. The Herbert Gibbs label is in place on the back of the piece.
