Vintage Metal Washstand with Large Enamel Bowl
This summer’s essential for outdoor entertaining, a large vintage washstand, most likely dating from the early mid 20th century, that can be filled with ice and beers! With a green and white enamel basin, there is also a small lower shelf, originally where the water jug would’ve been stowed, and the original towel / flannel rail in place, pieces like this can be repurposed in so many quirky ways. They make fantastic plant stands too. A really quirky, vintage piece with considerable old-fashioned charm, what would you use it for?
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good – very good, used condition. The wrought iron, metal stand was originally painted but this has worn away leaving a fantastic, aged patina. It’s in good order, stable and without wobbles. The removeable, large enamel wash basin has a green outer and white inner. As you can see, there are chips and scuffs to the enamel finish, inside and out, but these greatly add to the appeal and authenticity of this item.
