Vintage G Plan ‘Fresco’ Teak Tallboy Chest of Drawers by VB Wilkins
From their flagship ‘Fresco’ range produced in the 1960s and designed by V.B. Wilkins, this handsome teak tallboy chest of drawers is a vintage design classic and this particular one is in near-immaculate condition, a rare find as they are often worn and faded. The grain of the solid teak drawers is just beautiful and we love the design details like the gently rounded edges and wide drawer handles, softening the piece. It’s a wonderfully crafted piece of furniture, and its slim size and timeless design ensures it it will fit perfectly into any modern home.
Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in overall excellent, used condition. It has been thoroughly cleaned and a natural beeswax polish applied. It’s an expertly crafted piece of a very high quality. This tallboy from G Plan’s Fresco range is made of solid teak, not veneer, and all the drawers feature dovetail joints and they slide with ease. All the drawer interiors are clean and in good order. The exterior wood including the top surface is in fantastic condition with only very minimal marks and light scuffs from prior use. Sadly the red G Plan sticker is no longer affixed inside the top drawer.
