Description
This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, it is in good – very good, used condition. The piece has been checked and cleaned inside and out, and a natural beeswax polish applied to the exterior wood surfaces to revive its shine but otherwise the finish is original. the bookcase is divided into an upper and lower section, each with two sliding glass doors so four doors in total. All doors are original and in very good order, sliding with ease in the runners. Each section has a height-adjustable shelf and all interiors are clean and in good order with just minor signs of use. There are also light signs of wear and tear to the exterior wood, superficial marks and scuffs, primarily on the top surface (please see our photo) but this is in line with what we might expect to see on a vintage item. It’s well made with no signs of repair or areas of concern. Sadly the Herbert Gibbs label is no longer in place but this was acquired with a HG matching piece and it’s also an item we’ve sold many of previously. Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with trusted delivery partners who cover most of the country (enquire for Scotland or remote addresses) and are reliable and insured. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-5 days later. The delivery service we can offer does require a little flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but you would be kept updated. You are also welcome to collect from us either in Haverhill, Suffolk or near Diss, Suffolk and we’re happy to hold pieces after purchase while you consider your options and make collection arrangements.
