Description
This original, vintage bureau is ‘sold as seen’. Overall it is in good, used condition. The piece has been checked and cleaned, inside and out, and a natural beeswax polish applied and buffed on the external surfaces, but otherwise the finish is original. The left lower cupboard has a clean interior with a handle, hinges and closures in good, working order. The three right hand drawers also have clean interiors, secure handles and are nicely made with dovetail joints. There is a recessed open shelf above with some light, superficial scuffs and marks here and there but nothing to flag. The upper fall door creates the writing desk when down. Inside there are fixed pigeon holes and a pair of miniature drawers. The hinges, handle and lock and key are in good, working order here. The inside is a little marked and scratched from use which we’ve shown in our photos. The exterior wood surfaces carry minor dents, blemishes and scuffs in line with its age and function. There is a small ink stain on the bureau top, shown in our photos. It’s a nicely made piece of furniture with no areas of concern. Sadly there is no Jentique maker’s mark but we know this to be a Jentique design and it dates from the 1970s. Do browse through our photos for an accurate representation of its condition. Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with trusted delivery partners who cover most of the country (enquire for Scotland or remote addresses) and are reliable and insured. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-5 days later. The delivery service we can offer does require a little flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but you would be kept updated.
