Description
This authentic, vintage dining table is ‘sold as seen’. Overall it is in fair – good, used condition. The table has been serviced and cleaned and wax polished but otherwise the finish is all original. There is some sunlight fading, patchiness, marks and superficial wear on the table top which can be clearly seen across our photos and this is reflected in our price. However, this wear and tear that is in line with its age doesn’t affect the table’s function at all. It is solid and sturdy with no wobbles or signs of repair. It’s a very well made piece as you’d expect from Gordon Russell. The extension leaf pulls out from underneath the table at one end. The two halves are then pulled apart, the extension inserted and the two sides closed to create a seamless table-top. As you can see the extension is a touch darker than the rest of the table-top, a common thing as quite simply it has less exposure to sunlight. All mechanisms are in very good, working order. The Russell of Bromley maker’s sticker is still in place on the underside and the table dates from sixties. Do browse through our photos so you get a true sense of the piece. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-5 days later.
