Vintage 1930s Oak Sewing Table Stand

At a glance, it looks like a regular vintage nightstand or occasional side table but this was meant for ribbons, spools of thread, embroidery silks and pin cushions. This oak sewing table is an old-fashioned darling. Sitting on long legs to slot neatly beside a favourite chair, there is a lower shelf, a small sectioned drawer and the table top is hinged for further storage inside. Nicely and simply crafted, it can of course serve just as well as a nightstand or occasional table. A super, characterful piece.
