Small Vintage 1970s G Plan Fresco Chest of Drawers

From their flagship ‘Fresco’ range produced in the 1960s and designed by V.B. Wilkins, this small, teak chest of drawers is a Brit midcentury classic. The waves of grain across the drawer fronts are beautiful. It’s a well-crafted piece of furniture, and its compact, low stature will ensure it fits easily into any modern home. We think it would make a super bedside chest for those who need something a little larger than a nightstand.

Description

This is an original, vintage piece that is ‘sold as seen’. It is in good, used condition. We have cleaned the piece inside and out, applying a natural beeswax polish but otherwise leaving the original finish alone as it’s in such good order. The three drawers all slide with ease and have clean, tidy interiors. The top drawer has a fixed divider in the middle. The exterior wood is in good order with light scratches, some faded patches and marks here and there, but these are what you might expect to see on a piece of this age. Do refer to our photos for an accurate sense of this. The piece is sturdy and solid with no signs of repair. Do browse our photos for a good sense of its condition but should you have any queries or wish to view the piece, just give us a shout.
