Set of Six Vintage Chapel Church Chairs with Book / Bible Backs

You don’t get more quaintly British than this… a set of six traditional, vintage chapel chairs with slat backs and an integrated bible / book holder at the back. Robustly made in pale beech and elm for regular use in churches their design favours function over form (they are an upright sit, rather prim and proper) but they have considerable old-fashioned charm and character. They would make a great talking point round a kitchen table or as occasional chairs around the house. And we’ve been reliably informed you can fit bottles of beer in the back too! Description

This set of six original, vintage chairs is ‘sold as seen’. They are in good, used condition. The frames have been checked, cleaned and a neutral, natural wax polish applied to their wood but not restored. As you can see from our photos, they are worn and faded with use and there are minor, superficial scuffs and marks across all six chairs. This doesn’t affect their function and they are stable and solid with no joint concerns or repairs.  Do browse our photos for an accurate sense of their condition. Alternatively, we can arrange fast, UK mainland delivery with trusted delivery partners who cover most of the country (enquire for Scotland or remote addresses) and are reliable and insured. We have a weekly collection and onward delivery usually follows 1-5 days later. The delivery service we can offer does require a little flexibility as the drivers work to predetermined routes with other delivery obligations, but you would be kept updated.
