Seat of Four Original 1970s Teak Dining Chairs in Black Vinyl

As sets of vintage, mid century dining chairs go, this quartet ticks all the boxes. Well-made in solid teak in a family-friendly, wipe-clean black vinyl, they are as handsome as they are robust and sturdy. Featuring two carvers, we love the exaggerated curves of their arms. We’ve been unable to attribute them but they came with a British manufacturer’s stamp so we can date them specifically to 1970. A great value set of retro chairs that will go with any style of midcentury dining table.

Description

This set of four original, vintage dining chairs is ‘sold as seen’. Overall, the chairs are in good – very good, used condition. The solid teak chairs frames have been thoroughly cleaned, checked and polished. They are in very good order overall. There are very minor, superficial scuffs here and there on the frames, as you might expect with furniture of this age. The original black vinyl upholstery is in good order too, with no tears or holes. Should you opt to recover the seat pads at some point, this would be an easy, inexpensive job for an upholsterer. All four chairs are solid and stable with no areas of concern.  Sadly there is no maker’s mark but there was a dated label attached one stating 1970, the year of their manufacture. Please do browse our photos for a good sense of their super condition. If you have any questions or would like to view these chairs, do get in touch.
